Strange Referrer

Hello

in this week i had a strange referral for two times .I see if a aol user comes to my site it counts 12-13 referrer but This referrer counted 38 times for one person / visitor in my referrers area.I visit that site for see who linked me but i see a casino site which not contains any link to my site ( and not about my site ) so i wonder and decide to ask .Site addy is [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] if can someone check what is this ill appreciate

My best guess this is an unscrupulous tactic used by some sites to generate search engine results.

The domain names are either generated from a list of domain names or from a list of keywords I really don't know which. Anyway so once the result is indexed by the search engine the results will widely available. This is the source of most of the refer blocks that Bob put into the blocker for refers. Based on his own experiences and those reported by users.

In short add the sucker to your blocked refers list its most likely not a site you want results for your own site linked to as eventually these search engines are going to find a way to detect his and penalize the domains creating these bogus results.
