i just noticed that If a user is not logged in and he clicks on the post reply button in IE, it takes him to the normal login page.

But IN FIREFOX, if a user is not logged in and he clicks on the post reply button from the forum, he is taken to a page which displays only the overall header and nothing else. Not even the footer or login body.

can u plz suggest any way to fix it up ? Sad Sad

Rather than show the posts you want answered in your signature, it might be more useful to show some details about your nuke installation. For example,
- version / distribution
- patch level
- modifications (e.g. NukeSentinel, CNBYA, etc.)
- custom theme (which could impact this issue)

Im using RavenNuke 76 Latest With latest patches and Nuke Sentinel !

Im using advanced BBcode box, advanced quick reply, Select Expand for Quote and Code BBCodes, Shoutbox 8.5.2 and hide links mod !

Im using Inferno theme ! (only 1 theme is installed)

Really? And no reference to RavenNuke on your site? Hmmm...

I'd recommend trying to replicate it without the Inferno theme and then consider the mods required for the forum mods you added. If a standard theme works, you know the theme is the problem.

If the same problem exists with a standard theme, more investigation is needed. Does this problem only occur on quick reply or on regular post as well? The answer to that might indicate which forum mod is IE-specific...

Well, i think theme cant b the problem coz i used the theme with php-nuke 7.8 also and it worked fine with these mods.

Well, the quick reply doesnt show up until a user is not logged in. So, post reply has the problem and that too in firefox !

Also, the emoticons work the other way round. they work fine in firefox but even if u keep on clicking them in IE, they just dont show up in the message body where u rite the message.

Smilies work fine in quick reply in both browsers.

so mayb there is some problem with the advanced bbcode box mod !?

Maybe. Did you change your site key or cookie names before using IE and after using Firefox? Try clearing your browser cache and removing any cookies associated with the site, especially if you're not sure if it affects other users.

It appears to be a problem with how one of the mods was implemented. I used the great Firefox extension, HTML Validator and it show 3 critical errors on your post reply page, including duplicate DOCTYPE, html, and head tags.

I'd suggest comparing the modified files to standard ones to figure out what got accidentally changed (maybe a duplicate header include?) on the forum mods. Winmerge is a free tool for doing this type of comparison, but I like BeyondCompare since it can do that over [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I'd check any file modified for the forum mods.
