Could be. I'll keep my eye on this thread and hopefully Bob or Raven might have some ideas.

Hitwalker, I just installed this on a testsite and I don´t have this problem with 7.6 NS 3.5.0 and CNB 441.
The only problem seems a bug with emails addresses.

i appreciate it susann.. Wink
but i hope you agree cnbya dont start doing this because it feels like it...
and on 2 sites at the same time...?

i maild bob marion to and asked if we borrow his expertise in this ... Laughing
i guess raven is out of time otherwise he would have jumped in...

the other member (where you registered to) tried it by just approving and activating the account instead of sending the activation link and that worked naturaly but that shows another weird problem....
now it showed on the test account......last online bla bla 1970 .. Confused
1970 ?

I checked the function in CNBYA and that worked but of course not automatically.
Your account at blahblah76 has been suspended.Reason for Suspension. blahblah.
Did you found anything abnormal in the NS tracked users for those who were suspended within seconds ? It´s strange enough. Rolling Eyes

no...i just checked again but there's nothing weird..
what happens is very simple...

1-you register...
2-i approve
3-member gets mail and click to finalize the registration
4-member is on the website to login
5-member gets suspended..

Are you sure the member is suspended after logging in, or possibly when finalizing the registration?

Everyone, post a link to CNBYA and the version you are using. I will do my best to have a solution by the first of the week. You can also cross check with post [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] .

This is very interesting and somewhat annoying for those it is affecting.
I have been trying to figure out *how* Sentinel could be doing this.
I don't use CNBYA so I'm guessing that either the default nuke_users table is altered to incorporate the 'suspended' flag for the user or another table is created by CNBYA to hold the 'suspended' users account data.
As Sentinel itself lacks any sql query to either move the users data to a suspended_user table or set the nuke_users account 'suspended' flag I guess there must be some $variable which is conflicting.

Hi All,

It shows as suspended in the suspended cnbya list as the person clicks the activation link,
i have tested this myself on a few test accounts,
it was my thought that it only happended during the finish registration page etc, but when i clicked the activation then returned to admin list of suspended, the newly activated account was also in there even before clicking submit.

also i have found although you are in the suspended status and can't login, you still show in the users online block, that bit i can't work out either?

we now have nsn ya installed with sentinel 4.2.9 etc, and it is still the same as 2.5.0 and cnbya 4.1 so back to square one, nothing else as far as we know edited and so no explaination for the problems both hitwalker and i have been getting.

hi bob.....nice to see you around....Wink
well as guardian privately knows......lol......im not a victim of that problem anymore.....
but that other guy is....(http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/posts10717.html)
if i can say for 100% that its caused by sentinel..?
No.....
But it sure has the looks of it...
and trust me on this.....
as there were 2 sites where this started simultaniously you cant ignore the fact that they had to 2.5.0 upgrade in common.
i know the upgrade didnt effect or altered any tables...
and i doubt if were ever gonna find out..
and bob...its the latest cnbya 4.4.2 version...available everywhere...

Been down with a nasty upper resp infection for over a week now, finally I think the new antibiotics are starting to work on it though. Will dig as soon as I can. I know I have a copy of CNBYA on a disc somewhere.

hi bob,
nice to hear from you....
hope your doing fine... Wink

dont make a big fuzz out of this..
i know there are more and better things you can do.

ive been helping the other guy with the same problem and i changed his site to ravennuke.
weird thing is that although the site runs great as soon as we used cnbya the same suspending s.it happend all over again.
so i recommended to stop using it untill finaly the cnbya 5.0 gets released, maybe this year on in 2007.. killing me

i turned his site around in a few areas ,groups in the forums and the nsn groups for the rest of the site.

i did maild you about nsn paypal block, perhaps you can read the mail ive send as soon as you have the time for that.
thanks..
