For some reason on my board the bbcode to use [quote="name"] doesn't work. Have to use normal [quote].

Problem is though when you click the quote button above a post it automatically makes the quote contain the name.
Do anyone know any fix to this or a way to make it work?

Thanks in advance

This has been fixed in the latest 2.10.00 release that is almost in QA testing...

I was just reading this thread again and wanted to try and clarify something thats niggling me.
When you use the bbcode button for quote, it is ONLY suppose to add quote not quote="name"

It is ONLY when you use the topic quote button that you should see quote=name

If I have read your post correctly, you are saying that when you use the topic quote button, you do not want it to display the poster name? Even though that is the correct behaviour.

Naw it was just when you pressed the quote button next to a post and instead of writing like "personX wrote:" it was just empty.

As Montego explained it was a bug in phpBB that was corrected in the new release and I also found a fix for it in the thread he linked which I applied to my forum.

It was the same problem as in this post:
