php nuke 7.7 to phpnuke 7.6 platinum

I have php nuke 7.7 installed on my site and it is working fine. I was wondering does anyone out there know if i can upgrade from phpnuke 7.7 to phpnuke 7.6 platinum??? I really like the features in 7.6 platinum

Most likely you could downgrade to standard 7.6 using the downgrade that Bob Marion has made available at nukescripts.net and then upgrade that to Platinum using the included 7.6 to Platinum 7.6 instructions that come with the current release of Platinum. Be aware though that you will still need to patch Platinum to 3.0b using the latest patch from nukefixes.com and also upgrade your BBtoNuke with each consecutive patch (i.e. 2.0.12, 2.0.13, 2.0.14, 2.0.15, 2.0.16) also available with manual instructions at nukefixes.com HOWEVER~

I am not 100% positive on this but I believe that the good folks over at Platinummods.com have released an all inclusive patch for Platinum 7.6 that handles the above mentioned patches to the core files as well as the BBtoNuke end so that may be worth checking into if you decide to go the Platinum route instead of trying to perform all of those manual edits to the core nuke files and the forum updates.

Also worth mentioning are the folks over at sddesign.biz who have posted many, many fixes and tweaks for Platinum and have also ported many of the most popular themes to work with the heavily modified BBtoNuke that comes with Platinum.
