Hey all

Im looking for a shopping cart but not exactly to take orders for products but more events on certain days. I have been looking around for a while lately for this type of system and not having much luck. Im looking for something that will show how many places are left on this event and also show what events are upcoming throughout the year. Im sure this in theory is a very simple script but all i find are product carts etc. If anybody knows of such a script or a script that can be modified for our needs it would be much appreciated.

Thanks and look forward to any responses
Regards
Nick

I must confess, I have not seen anything like this on my surfing expeditions but I'll certainly mention it to a colleague who may have an answer.
If I find anything useful within the next 48 hours or so, I'll post back here.

We did this by creating a product for each event, and the inventory was set to the number of tickets / seats / etc.

I also researched this heavily and couldn't find anything specific to event registration / reservation.

Hey kguske

Was this done in Emporium by any chance?

Thanks

It wasn't Emporium, but as long as Emporium is configured to track inventory, you should be able to do the same thing. In Emporium, set the Auto Remove Stock by Orders general setting to yes, and set Manage Stock to yes and specify your inventory on the add / edit product page.

The one I set up was for training classes, so I created a Training category. You might want to use a Tickets, Events or Reservations category...

This nice thing about that approach is that you can use the same shopping cart for merchandise, too.
