Cant activate comments..under the news item

Got problems using the "comments" option under a news item.
When members try to add a comments it says: this module isnt active.

Must be the news module whats causing problems.
In the admin/modules menu, the News module is showing in-active, but is showing the news items on the frontpage. And the news is showing fine. It cant be changed to active. (Its in the warning above the modules page)

Activating comments to articles in preferences is on.

phpnuke is upgraded from 6.5 to 7.6.

Any1?

Use phpMyAdmin. Edit the modules table and set the active column to 1.

Got also the same problem with Stories Archive...
Cant activate this... People can search but when cliking a story it says module not active.. In the admin menu it reads active (all visitors)

The stories in the archive can only be read by the admin.

No, that's not the DATA, that's the schema. You changed the wrong thing. You changed the structure but not the data. You need to pull the records up and then change the record.

Never changed anything via phpmyadmin before Wink

(i changed the other thing back to what it was..hehe)
