How to build up ranking on MSN... Lycos... and other engines

On google my site is moving slowly up... On Altavista and AOL also... But I can't seem to go up on any of these:

AlltheWeb
MSN
HotBot / Lycos

How do these engines work... and how to move up... Smile

Talking about the AlltheWeb (FAST/AlltheWeb) (which is covering ca. 70% webpages when compared to reserve that Google has..) - the indexing of that particular SE is based mostly on receved submissions, which can be identified as a *less aggressive form of performance* when it comes to crawling/spidering individual sites.

I believe that most people have generally experienced some 4-6 weeks interrims starting from the submission date before (most/any of) the submitted pages have been registered indexed by AlltheWeb.

Anyone with more a sharpened knowledge to SE submissions at practical level may want to add/correct information presented herein.
