Hi folks...

I see some users have 7.4 working with GT 0.4a...

For some reason, I'm running into two serious problems enabling GT.

The first problem is that users are for some reason unable to complete registration. When you get to the "Finish" button screen and click it, it fails to take you to the next screen (and also fails to actually finish and move the new information into the users_temp table). Basically, users think they have finished registration when in fact, they haven't.

The next problem is that with GT enabled, for some reason the $random and $gfx functions no longer work correctly. The homepage login block image/numbers never change and if you try to use the nuke login, you just don't see any gfx image.

I must assume that both problems are issues in the your account module.

I've not found yet a good GT enabled login block. Up to this point, I've been using the Site-Info block included with Protector and while I was messing around with enabling GT, I modified it to prevent the $gfx/$random problem from occuring by pointing it directly to an html path.

Basically, I changed
Quote:
$security_code = _SECURITYCODE . ': <img src="modules.php?name=Your_Account&amp;op=gfx&amp;random_num='.$random_num.'" border="1" alt="' . _SECURITYCODE . '" title="' . _SECURITYCODE . '" /><br />' . _TYPESECCODE . ': <input type="text" name="gfx_check" size="11" maxlength="10" /><br />';

to
Quote:
$security_code = _SECURITYCODE . ': <img src="account-gfx-random_num'.$random_num.'.html" border="1" alt="' . _SECURITYCODE . '" title="' . _SECURITYCODE . '" /><br />' . _TYPESECCODE . ': <input type="text" name="gfx_check" size="11" maxlength="10" /><br />';

Put simply, it was the only solution I could find that would allow me to at least login. I had to do a number of other mods to actually STAY logged in.

If anyone has any ideas on what I need to do to get everything working so I can at least leave GT enabled, your advise would be greatly appreciated.

I can of course provide copies of any/all of my code if it will help.

Thanks!

I have used Ravens user info block from day one and have never had any problems.

I use 7.4 with GT 0.4a and no problems.

Did anyone else have the registration problem I am having?

Any ideas where to look for the problem there?

Also, I made your change above... but I'm not seeing the gfx image on login page: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

The value of the blank gfx image is: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Do I need to change this too?
"<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"op\" value=\"finish\"><br><br>"

Thanks

Can I either send you my "Your_Account/index.php" file or you send me yours so I can do a compare and see where I'm going south?

I've posted mine in my downloads area if you want to grab it.

Oh.. one other thing. What is really screwy is that when I do an admin.php to login, I get the correct gfx image..... What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
