Hi all, and thanks for your help.

When i log into admin panel and then preferences, i cannot see the block that would allow me to change the footer. I tried changing themes and even reinstalling everything 3 times to avoid human error. Please help? Cool

Are any of the WYSIWYG editors appearing within preferences or elsewhere in the site?

OK these issues have been report before in forums and therefore you might want to do a quick search, but the first thing I would do is make sure your FTP software is uploading in binary.

I have moved this thread into its proper forum...

Something local to your system is stopping the editor from loading. Try disabling all your browser plug-ins and see if that works.

in your includes directory is the folder named:
FCKeditor
or
fckeditor
?

It should be fckeditor
If that's the case, and you have not uploaded files thru the editor, you can just delete the folder and replace with the one from current distro.

If you have uploaded files thru the editor there should be some posts about it somewhere Wink

PM me a temporary admin account for your site. We can go from there depending on what we find.

I get a ton of java-script errors when I go to pages loading the editor.

You said you tried everything, but have you tried re-uploading your "fckeditor" folder?

Affirmative. I tried even redownloading the cms from scratch and reinstalling from scratch 4 times now. After you mention that i tried reuploading (filezilla) the fckeditor folder and that didnt work, so i tried the entire "includes" folder and no dice... then tried the enire sms folder and still no go.

How much would you charge to do it for me and get everything going? :p (I have a headache) speedtype Bang Head RavensScripts Smack

Thanks for your time. I did already try what you pm'd if you read above... did you get my ftp infos?

"Make sure in rnconfig.php that $advanced_editor = 1; and not 0.
Also, try it in a different browser to make sure it is not a javascript issue with your browser."

- I have tried it all from scratch 5 times now. Same results.
- I tried redownloading the source files and redoing everything from scratch 4 times. No dice.
- I tried all the bug/error fixing/tweeks everyone suggested.
