This just started out of the clear blue, nothing added, nothing modified. Logged in as my usual user (not admin), shows ONLINE but not really "online". The User Info block that usually shows up for reg'd users is not there and clicking on "Your Account" just goes to a registration screen instead. Tried registering another user (fresh) and the same thing occurs after activation ...

What's up with this ?

Can login as Admin, no problem. Regular user (me) can login as admin as well, just not as a regular user, goes to "Personal Information" screen rather than the "Your Account" screen showing "Change Info", etc. when first logging in.

Site: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] - main production site since 1994, custom theme (yes) but has been working flawlessly up until today with the login problem.

More: This is happening at my work using IE-6 which MAY be the problem as cookies are screwball (by IT dept's choice). So THAT may be the issue, will try from home later this evening.

Thanks

dad7732, While I was reading the first few paragraphs, my first thoughts were just hosed up cookies. I have seen this before. Usually clearing cookies and cache, killing all browser instances and starting up fresh fixes this for me. I am forced to use IE 6 at work too... what a PITA.

It appears that the DB is not being updated (only this one). Even went into MySQLAdmin, made a change and it didn't "take". Will have to investigate this later at home.

FIXED

In the forums admin - Allow Auto Login - DISabled .. now it all works. Strange, I have other domains with that ENabled and it works just fine.
