So my basic question is: Downgrade or Restart?
I am still new to PHPNuke etc. but I have been working on building a new site for my gaming clan for the last month (our previous site was built by someone else). Most of that time has been spent bumping my head against various walls but I now have a site going. In that time I have learned alot, but still have a lot to go as well.
I have nukesentinel running, phpnuke 7.9 is patched to 3.5, I've added and modded some blocks etc etc.
But I have not moved any of my users over to the new site yet, so...

I hate the WYSIWYG editor and I also am worried about the security issues of 7.9... I should have started with RavenNuke but at the time did not understand why I might use it, since the Fantastico Control panel added 7.9 so easily Rolling Eyes .
So with that all in mind what does the community here recommend? Should I start over with RavenNuke at 7.6, or try to downgrade my current site and then move that over to RN?
Which would be the 'right' way before I go and do it 'my' way and end up wasting time... Cool
Thanks!

Start with RN 2.20.01. Especially if you don't have users moved over. Then go grab the latest Nuke Sentinel and put that in place before you do anything else.

You'll then get a nice easy to install upgrade to RN 2.30 later this Summer.

If you've added blocks it should be only a matter of copying them back over into the RN distribution. Modded blocks may take a little more work depending on what you did but if you have a good file comparison tool it should go easily. Hopefully you didn't mod tables but even that can be dealt with.

Really its a matter of converting your data over. If that isn't important, than dump 7.9 and use RavenNuke Smile

I switched from 7.9 to RavenNuke. I had been using it for a year and had to convert. If you aren't worried about that, just ditch 7.9 and start fresh. All up to you.
