when i try to send a pm i get this error

"You must specify a username to whom to send this message."

and my IE7 displays errors on the page

i have:
phpnuke 7.6 patched 3.3
bbtonuke 2.0.22
i have a few bbtonuke mods on there but they dont seem to be the problem cause if i put the origional Private_Messages/index.php in there it still generates errors on the page and does the same thing

can anyone help me out?
could it be that i dont have a email server?
i have this on a computer at my house to test it out be4 i put it on a live website

*also searched on google i fould someone that has this problem with a XD theme and i have a XD theme so maybe this is the problem?

Actually, even without the "theme comment" I was going to suggest that. Try testing it with another one of the default themes, such as DeepBlue and see if it works. That would then tell you it was the theme for sure.

bprsk8r4272, I am sorry, but I do not have that kind of time right now. You might want to check with the resident theme guru jaded.

*update* they never answered back on the site so last week i recoded the forum part of the theme and now its error free the problem was that they left parts of BBtoNuke mods in there when they coded the theme. i had to change a few thing in posting_body.tpl but everything is fine now.
