feature request - comment notifications

It'd be nice to know when people have posted replies to news items, both for the author, and for those people who have posted comments to see who have replied to them.

I use nuke as a blogging tool and that's an essential piece to engage readers. They're not going to come back if they don't know anyone replied, and I might fail to notice their comments on older posts.

I wrote this in 2004 and so depending on the version of nuke you are using you might have to tweak it.

why still a hack though and not incorporated into the core?

and that hack doesnt let users decide if they want to subscribe or not.

That didn't read as wanting/needing an opt in mechanism. You said both ... author, and ... who have posted comments

We have never had a request for this. I wrote it way back when because I wanted it Smile
