I received this error attempting to add a new download:

Quote:

Uploading of Download File cannot continue.

Please contact the Site Administrator and report this error.

Thank You.

Also, when I attempted to e-mail this through the "Contact Us", it said my e-mail address is invalid - it is not.

Technically speaking, your email address is invalid. Caps are not allowed. However, I am modifying the routine to compensate for that in the Contact module Wink. Try the download submission again but with lower case on your email addy. I can't see that that is a problem, but let's try to rule it out.

I tried it again and after clicking on the Upload, I got a blank window. I finished the submit process and it said there were two submissions waiting so I guess we'll see.

Thanks for the help!

The filename is coming across as D:Rosa.Dirlockslock-PrivateForums.php
which is obviously wrong. That's what's causing the problems with the download.

Okay. I'll try it again using the url where the file is running.

I tried it again using the url instead of uploading from a local drive. If that doesn't work then ????

You must always use the Internet accessible URL. It looks like it went. I will review it soon.

Please be aware that I added it but that file takes forever to come up and then it's not a download file but a php page. I have removed the file.

So what? Do I need to .tar or .zip the file?

So what? - Hmmmmm.

Yes, haven't you noticed that when you download a file it's usually a tar, tgx, tar.gz, zip, rar? Think about it. If you type [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] in your location bar, does it download the file so you can use it or does it download it so the browser can use it?

Yes I've noticed that. However, I was not indicating a URL for the location - at least I did not think I was. There is an "Upload" button there that, to my interpretation, would upload the file to you for evaluation. Not as a link for the download location.

If it is a link for the download location, then I'll have to find a place to put it.

You were in the Downloads module and Uploading a file. You sent a link and as I said above, you can't click on a link ending in php and download it. The server will interpret it as request for a [b]php[/php] file to be executed and then spit the results out to the browser. Try it in your own browser. Copy and paste the link you sent me and see what happens.
