Adding Welcome message and time

Hello to you all

Can any one direct me on how to add a Welcome message and the time on a theme? I want it on the top left corner. The them that I'm using doesn't have it. The theme use header.html and here's what I have for the Welcome message. Thanks for the help.

Can you elaborate a little more on exactly what you want displayed and how?

please post your header.html file from inside the theme that you want the welcome and date on and i will take a look as soon as i can. Thanks
