Need help installing a few mod's

When using Bluehost, I hired someone to install an arcade. Once he was paid, he washed his hands and I was left with an arcade that causes more frustration than fun.

Soooooo, because I'm pretty technologically challenged, and this is all new to me, I need to pay someone to help me.

Here's what I need for now:

1. Someone to uninstall the current arcade and install a newer, more up to date and bug free arcade.

2. Someone who can install a few other mod's from time to time. Should be simple, but again, I'm challenged in these areas and don't want to mess up what I DO have, so I would like the following:
* Either a chatroom or IM mod
* Point system
* Blogs
* Help with the front page design (scrolling news, etc.)

If we can agree on a price and the work is done well, I would likely use your services again for additional mod's. from time to time. I also have a colleague who is starting a site as well with Raven and looking for help, so we might be able to work something out with that site as well.

I don't have time to assist, but would offer some questions / suggestions that might help you and those who have the time:
- do you know if an updated, bug-free arcade exists?
- have you looked at the shoutbox addon with RN?
- what is the point system based on? (that's important, because there are several ways)
- blogs as in Wordpress? Or something like the Journal module?

My understanding is that there IS an update available; however, when I asked the guy I hired to install it, he went MIA and I've been unable to reach him since. I'm not sure where he got it, initially, nor how to install the update.

I absolutely do NOT want points based on posts. I'd like to be able to assign points as rewards for specific things, such as contests, etc., so they wouldn't be automatic. I'd have to manually assign them.

I'm not too concerned with this one. I think Wordpress works just fine unless there is some objection.

leowife, that should help clarify what you're looking for to someone who might be able to assist. You might wish to search on phpBB arcade to see where that mod was originally created (it would save time for a developer) and also checkout the shoutbox. You might be able to find someone on this site who is currently using it so you can review without having to install it.

for the chatroom you could use the shoutbox addon as kguske has mentioned or checkout live chat over at [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

there is also a scrolling forum block that could be converted for the news at nukecoder [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] although I would be inclined to use a similar scroll to sentinel's as it is w3c compliant.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am truly new at this and you're speaking a foreign language. I have no idea how to do any of this, thus the need for help. I will see what I can figure out with the links you've provided. Thank you for taking the time.

What Ireally need, if I can't find someone for hire, is a step by step manual or page with clear instructions in ENGLISH. I'm talking VERY basic english.
