stories table import not searchable

Any idea: I start with a clean database with all the nuke 7.6 cs 3.1 tables and I import just the stories table. Well I go to "news" and I can see all the stories just fine but when I search it does not find anything in any of the stories. If I add a new story by hand and seach it finds it fine. Is there some other table I need to upload along with stories or something I need to redo?

There is probably another table that contains seach text. Have you checked the database?

Ok I imported the stories table which is the text that I wanted to see search results from. I could see the artilcles fine in "news" module. However search results came up empty...

SOLUTION: I added the username(in this case an admin name) that the articles had been posted with. That's all I did and now the search works perfectly.
