user_level question

OK so after reading these forums I was able to understand that Level 2 is Admin and Level 3 is anonymous.

Is there a way to make additional user_level's and if so where do I set them up at?

no....you cant add additional user_level's....
not yet anyway...

what do u mean by user levels...moderators and such?

So is it harmful to go directly to the database itself and say make it 5 then in the location I want to use it for (User_Info.php) do what I want to do or does that user_level actually 'do' something and if so, what does it do?

And to answer your question we use Scribbytech's User Info which display's admin and mod under the persons name if the user_level = 2 or 3. I left four alone but went to 5, the modified the code to make it donator. It works great and nothing has occured out of the ordinary so far (key words there, so far). I'm noticing other issues tho like the search functions in the forums absolutely don't work, but I don't believe it's anywhere related to what I'm doing.

I believe there's a phpBB mod for user levels that will add more, should do what you want

Well I went in manually and just started making the changes myself. But if there's a mod, hey I'll take that. Do you know a quick link to it off chance?
