pl3 to pl8

Can I upgrade pl3 straight to pl8? Or do I have to go thru each upgrade options incrementaly?

It does nothing but timeout for me.

Upgrade 2.4.2pl3 to 2.4.2pl4

Normally, you must go through each upgrade incrementally.

Well, it definitely should not be timing out. I upgraded from pl5 to pl8 last night on several of my installations. I have looked at the pl3 -> pl4 and pl4 -> pl5 upgrade scripts and they are just setting the version number. pl5 -> pl6 is where data is really modified.

Maybe try to re-FTP the files again? Not sure why this would be happening.

I'm a little bit confused on the upgrading too, although I'm not timing out when I upgraded. I was using pl5 and uploaded the pl8 upgrade files then ran each table upgrade from the nsnt.php incrementally from pl5->pl6->pl7->pl8.
Is that all that needed to be done?

Yes. That's the standard MO for NSN scripts - a model for others to follow.
