Rumbaar...in order to block countries by one click the folder "IMPORT" has to be on your server like [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
then when you go to Sentinel -> Import Data -> Import to Blocked Ranges
then you see the box with all countries,1 click and a country is history..
(note: the folder IMPORT is part of the full sentinel distro)

I just used the import procedure mentioned above and it's a great convenience.

However, I believe that when you do it this way it does not write to .htaccess. I looked at htaccess before and after importing turkey to the blocked ranges and while it (all the Turkey IP's) showed in the blocked ranges after the import they were not in the htaccess file. Then I went in and deleted one of the Turkey ranges and blocked it "directly" from the blocked ranges menu and it wrote to htaccess. It apparently uses the cidrs in the htaccess file.

I know that having it in the blocked range table is probably "sufficient" but it might be better to keep these IP's from ever getting as far as Sentinel? I'm using PL5 for Sentinel that came with RN 2.02. If upgrading will fix this I'll go for it but I thought I would report it in case this is something that's practical to "fix" in a future release.

yes thats correct.
i mentioned that in another topic some time ago.
if you ban certain ranges its only banned in the database and not in the htaccess...
