Unable to access Admin of phpnuke site after web host move

Hi,

I had a phpnuke website running for years on an old host and decided to move it to a new host. The website had Nukesentinal installed and running on it. This addon was set-up and configured by another person years ago that I can no longer get in contact with.

After moving the website files and databases, everything seems to be working ok except for the admin section of my site. When I try to access admin.php the nukesetinel log-in box appears as usual, I log in but then I get a page stating an internal error has occurred. I believe this could be due to the fact that that database name and username have changed.

I have been able to change the database connection details for the website, other modules etc. However I can't find where nukesentinel is storing the connection details for the database. As these would now be incorrect since the move.

I have also tried uploading the nsnst_installer installer folder again and running nsnt.php. However I get a message that only super admins may run this script.

Essentially I am now locked out of my admin section of my website and can't figure out anyway around it.... Am really desperate for any help. I would really appreciate if any knows how to fix. Where is nukesetinel storing the old DB connection details?

goto phpmyadmin and change in table nuke_nsnst_config :
http_auth 1 to 0

open your .htaccess and find something simular like this:

<Files admin.php>
<Limit GET POST PUT>
require valid-user
</Limit>
AuthName "Restricted by NukeSentinel(tm)"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile D:\wamp\www\probalyroot\.staccess <---
</Files>

and put infront of each line a #

#<Files admin.php>
# <Limit GET POST PUT>
# require valid-user
# </Limit>
# AuthName "Restricted by NukeSentinel(tm)"

Keep in mind that removing those lines removes protection of the admin pages. So, in other words, only a very temporary bandaid so you can finish configuring/testing your site on the new host.

I suspect the issue really is with the AuthUserFile path. Very doubtful your hosted site is on Windows and using the WAMP server? This looks like a locally running site on your PC. Get that configuration right, and I suspect it will work.

I commented out those lines from .htaccess and can now get into the admin side of my website!
I am so relieved Smile

Really appreciate the help on this one, I was really starting to freak out this last few days.
Is there any way to update the database connection details and get this thing working again?
Or should I just leave things the way they are with the nukesentinel disabled and count my self lucky lol

(I did manage to find the path of the .htaccess, .staccess and .ftpaccess in nukesentinel administrator and change this to the new path)
