I have changed 'Interests' to 'Bio' by editing:

html/modules/Forums/language/lang_english/lang_main.php

What I would now like is for this text field to be approx the same size as the signature field so people can enter more text.

Where can I extend the size properties of this text box (both for number of characters and the actual size of the field)?

Edit the appropriate input field in the text form and check that the users table also supports that size

Ok

This works for the field in 'Your Account' but in viewing/editing the profile the phpbb forum is limiting this field (the 2 are linked somehow).

How can I make it so people can edit this in the profile from inside the forum?

Image

I want the 'Interests' field to look the same as the 'Signature' field but to have a character of about 2000 characters..

Why didn't you specify both?
I just assumed you need your account.

Let me add more codes under the post.

It sounds good.
Let me tell this to Scott (he is a web-designer), one of team members.

By the way, the site has our own mission which is not primarily for the public. However, as long as we work with open sources or free scripts and we change them, we will release back to the public. But some scripts such as outlook express for Joomla and PHP-NUKE and Video Tubes etc, are not decided to release for the public as open source.

Anyways, welcome any questions what I know and as long as I can answer Smile
Would you let me know your site URL?
Scott may will look at your site to make proper graphics.

Ok.

A further question:

How do I make it so people can use line spaces when editing that section of the profile.

I want people to be able to write like this:

Test writing

test

test

But at the moment it comes out like this:

Test writing test test
