How to block posts counter for single forum/section

I need help trying to block the post counter in a particular section.

Basically its a section for just spam and I was wondering if there was a way to stop the post counter in just this section.

I believe there is a forum addon that enables you to do this. Try searching through http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/index.php?i=browse&mode=group:phpbb&sub=2.
Note that the mods in the aforementioned link are for the stand alone version of phpbb2. However, I have found that for the simple mods they usually work with few, if any, changes.
