Jumbled HTML Code

Hello,
When I code basic (no php, no sql) XHTML websites, load them, browse the web page, view source code, the code is all nice and neat like how I wrote it.

With PHP-Nuke or RavenNuke, I can write it the same kinda way, but when I browse the web page and view the source code, it's basically turned into one giant chunk of code.

Can anyone explain this? How can it be fixed? Does it have anything to do with \n" ?

What is \n ?

I can't see \n anywhere, I think I am going blind. Shocked

When you view source does it bring it up in notepad, because I have noticed it before in notepad. If I view it using the HTML Tidy addon for Firefox I don't have the problem. So I have put it down to a quirk of notepad.

RavenNuke uses the KSES XHTML filter and i believe it strips away some tags and changes some to insure XHTML compliance and to keep harmful code from being introduced. I may be wrong, but that could be the difference you are seeing.

\n is just a line break in the code (not the document)
adding it at the end of a line may produce the results you were looking for
