Hi,

I've not been having much luck with NukePHP, in original form or Raven's version.

There seems to be a problem running it on a windows server...or maybe I've not set something up correctly.

I've made it through the installSQL.php script (had to install sentinal in parts). When I get to setup.php, I run in to problems.

First was the script doesn't like using field valued from IE7 history. Eventually found the solution.

Second, and more serious, I get an SQL error when I try to 'Update'

Quote:
Unable to Insert into nuke_users table. MySQL reported: Field 'bio' doesn't have a default value
INSERT INTO nuke_users (user_avatar, user_regdate, username, user_email, user_password)

I left the values out of the quote as I don't really want to broadcast my SU details Smile

I think this is the same problem I was getting with NukePHP 7.9, User accounts (and admin with the exception of SuperUser accounts) could not be created. I'm also guessing this is a problem with Windows installs only.

A third problem is that I run my own servers and access via a local IP (192.168.x.x). This seems to be a problem for Sentinel. Is there a way round this?

Any thoughts will be greatfully received as I've not spent a week trying to get a site together.

Thanks

Ok, panic over. Have sorted the problem from info in another post:
http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postt10155.html

The site now seems to be working Very Happy

I would stress that this was a new install (first time of using RavenNuke) and as such probably shouldn't require me to edit the database fields.

Alterations were:
nuke_users bio allow null
nuke_users ublock allow null

I also had to disable the invalid IP check.

Finally I can get to grips with my new site....thanks.

That is what this forum here is for:

All you have to do is check this forum for any post release fixes.

This has been corrected in the coming release of 2.10.00 (sorry, don't ask me for a date).

Thanks for the reply.

I had spent the best part of a week trying to get PHP-Nuke 7.8 and 7.9 to work when somebody on another forum suggested RavenNuke.

Anyhow, it now runs. Though there is 1 other issue I've not managed to find a solution for as of yet in the forums.

When I use the admin control panel to backup the database I get a page of text rather than a file to save.

Not sure what has changed, but it used to work when I had NukePHP 7.9 running (well...half running).

Any ideas?

I have only used 7.6 and below and it has always worked that way for me... that I can recall.
