Using the Approve Membership Mod with 7.6

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody else has successfully incorporated the
Approve Membership Module with RN 7.6 ?

The reason I ask, is that I'm wondering what has been modified between
the phpnuke 7.6 and RN 7.6 /modules/Your_Account/index.php file.

This is so, that perhaps I can incorporate this module into my RN 7.6 site,
without messing up the security.

You should be able to do this if YOU REALLY NEED to. I capitalize those words because I got rid of approve membership as part of installing Ravennuke. The reason, the upgrade process for the Bulletin Board updates is just too onerous. Approve membership makes massive changes to your user table and by virtue of that it requires changes in the memberlist and forums and the your account module too. So when a bulletin board update comes in you just can't run thru the normal upgrade process but you need to sit there going thru the CVS files versus your files line by line and editing them. And forbid that you get a couple of Bulletin Board updates behind.

I'd really love to see the core of Approve Membership included in a future release of Raven Nuke but of course that suggestion will result in an "opportunity" or challenge to write the code (I suppose). The real challenge would be to see if there is a way to accomplish the objective ... letting an admin approve new members individually ... without requiring changes to the core tables.
