Newbie help with Forums creation problem

Hi Guy's

I ahve just downloaded and installed this package and everything seemd ok until I tried to create a catagory area in the forums. I get no error and the entry is placed into the sql table (when I have searched for it) but it never shows in the forums or the forum management area.

I have dropped the database and re-installed it....
I have re-uploaded the files

PHP version 4.3.10
MySQL version 4.0.25-standard

Any ideas please gratefullt recieved

It won't show until you have added a Forum under it.

Sorry if not clear...
I have no option to create the forum under the category as the Forum does not display the category even though it is in the SQL database.

I have done this on my local PC and all works Fine....??

Just seems to be on the live site??

Ok, I will assume that since you have this working on your local PC that you know how to create forum categories and forums within the forums administration tool. Is your local PC copy an exact replica of your live site? If so, there may be a missing or corrupt file somewhere. Try FTPing your module/Forums files again.

Also, it would be helpful to mention what version of nuke and patch level you are at.
