Very simple but I cant seem to find answer in this forum. Where is the TOS edited at? Embarassed

That is the version I use, and that is where the terms are.

I did not have a txt file titled "terms" there. I tried to create one but it did not work. I still get "Our Terms of Service will be soon be published here. "

In 4.4.0, you should find the default TOS in your database.

Look in your Nuke database for PREFIX_CNBYA_TOS

You have the option to edit or create new TOS's in the Administration section of CNBYA.

If you need a default version to insert into your database, I can give you one, but it should be there, it is simply a matter of activating it from the administration panel.

Go to admin.php and then choose Your Account and then select the last center column option to "Edit Terms of Service".

From there you should be able to do everything.

That's weird. I do not have that option in my CNBYA 4.4.0, and as stated above mine is in an actual text file. I must have an older version 0f 4.4.0

I have niether PREFIX_CNBYA_TOS or option in admin section... very wierd

I have 4.4.0 b2 with the Platinum database hack.. that may be why.

In your case, open up modules/Your_Account/language/lang-english.php and find _YATOS2

Replace the default value of: "Our Terms of Service will be soon be published here."

With whatever you want.

So are you saying that I can substitute 53 characters (including spaces) with 4,424 characters? Wouldn't there possibly be some other way we can have an added line of code in the proper whatever.php file to refer to a text file perhaps named terms.txt? I am no coding genius here, but it seems to me like there should be another way.

I'm using PHPNuke Platinum 76b4v2 [CNB Your Account 4.4.2] default with installation.

I found this in my database under nuke_cnbya_tos

Now, I have no option to edit this in my the Admin page, so, if I edit that in the file specified (modules/Your_Account/language/lang-english.php and find _YATOS2) directly, will it show to the members as a new TOS so they can read and accept?

Update: I replace the text in "lang-english.php" with what was in the database and it gave me a blank page when I log in or out!

Has anyone found a fix for this?
