OK so ive played around with nuke, nowI'am ready to upload it. the question I have is;
On my personal computer, can I install all the pages and folders required by Sentional, into Nuke. Making all the required changes, to the scripts in nuke.
Then setting up the DB tables in MySQL using the nuke and Sentional, externol scripts.
Then upload Nuke and sentional ready combined, to my server.
Would this work?????? |

If you have everything running just as you want it, then you can ftp all the files to your server. Then, using phpMyAdmin, export all the tables in your MySQL database, both Structure and Data. Then, using phpMyAdmin on your host machine, create the database. Then, Import the file you exported from your home machine. Make sure that your MySQL username and password is the same as what's in your config.php file. That should make a clone of your PC system on your host. |

No I do not have it running on my personal computer, I have it running on my server.
But i have played about with it so much I need to reinstall it. which is why I asked the question.
It would be easyer to intergrate the files locally, then upload togather. |

I'm confused. In your original post you speak of your personal computer and uploading things. Please clarify exactly what you are trying to do/ask. |

I have PHP Nuke running on my server at the moment, www.buthead.co.uk. As I do with all new things, I’ve played around with it and tampered with it. Now Im happy and confident enough to use it, I will start to build a new site. But as I have been playing around with it, the only way I can be sure I’ve not damaged a component is to upload a fresh copy to my server. But instead of uploading PHP Nuke running it and then uploading Sentinel and running that. I would like to upload PHP Nuke with Sentinel already in place ready to run. All I need to know is will this work.
I would rather incorporate Sentional into PHP Nuke on my local computer, as Im not happy doing it by FTP. Also I can ensure all files are placed correctly at leisure. My server will time out, so I have rush it.
Im going to try it. |

NukeSentinel requires both files and database changes. So, you will have to load both. |

It did not work.
I could not get into Mysql DB, so the site was blank. |

Not sure why you can't access MySQL on your own server ?? but just install your nuke files and then ftp NukeSentinel and do a fresh install, via the installer. |

after looking at config.php, I used "mysql" instead of "MySQL", in the DBName. you know Sentinel better than most, could you creat a distro of Nuke with Sentinel already installed. |

You would still need to manually can for admins before setting up HTTP/CGI Auth. Then, HTTP/CGI Auth would be site dependent so a pre-pack wouldn't help there either. |
