I just upgraded from 7.1 to 7.6 (no patches yet)

I get the error You can't access this file directly... when trying to reach my index.php page. I can access my admin and get to the other pages form there, just can't access the index.php.

Any help is greatly appreciated. My Site is down to the public until I can get this resolved.

Thanks a bunch ahead of time.
Shep

OK - I found part of the problem....

I had changed the $admin_file = "admin"; to a different name and renamed the admin.pnp to the same name - but for some reason it was screwing it up. I put it back.

I took your advice and moved my "forumnews" mod out of the start page and replaced it with just the forum and I can now get into the index.php page. I tried a few of the other mods in the start page and got he same access error. Sooo - why is it throwing those errors and how do I get my forum nes back on my homepage (startpage)?

Thanks,
Shep

hi shep,i was running on 6.5 before and the whole upgrade to the 7.6
because im dutch im not that good in explaining technical stuff in the english language.
bottomline is to overwrite all files with the version your going to..
that means also the modules...
if you get errors or a blank page is because some things have been changed..
as for starters mod.....
usualy we all use the news mod as index,if you wanna change that simply go to the administration of the modules ,then pick the one you want by clicking ...put in home.
