Problem with uploading avatars

Make sure the avatars directory is chmod 777

Permission Denied makes it seem as if its strictly a permissions issue. But you might try commenting out line 225 includes/usercp_avatar.php
$move_file = 'move_uploaded_file';
and putting
$move_file = 'copy';
In its place for arguements sake.

IF that still doesn't work undue the change and contact your host. It is most likely an issue with permissions on the tmp directory.

You have two forward slashes there before the word modules, recheck the file for typo's.
