Hi,

I installed hacker assisns nuke upodate, and went to configure sentinel, I set Admin HTTP Auth to on, but didn't set a username and password thinking it would use my default admin username and password. Is there a way to diable this feature and reconfigure with a valid user/pass - please help a.s.a.p. as I'm locked out of my admin. Thanks.

It does use your username and password.

Use the info you would for logging in normally into admin.php Wink

Trying using your GOD admin username and password. Then go in to Sentinel Admin CP, click on Admin HTTP Auth. Click on your normal admin name, and set your password there

I am using a god account, I can't even get into the admin. Can I edit the htaccess, SQL table or configuration to turn it off so that I can reconfigure?

Yes, you can edit the SQL, nsnst_config and set HTTP Auth to 0

I have the same problem too!

Strange isn't it?

I've been seeking for an answer in this forum and couldn't find it.

I installed Sentinel and and activate Admin HTTP Auth and it wont let me in not even as God Admin Bang Head

I can see the username and password in the table, I even get an email notification too, but if I activate it I can log in Bang Head Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

I hope Raven or somebody els could help us here. RavensScripts

Yeah, seems to be a very common problem. I opted for an htaccess tweak and pass file, see http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postt2950.html for instructions. It's a lot quicker, and won't give you a migrane. Cool

Perhaps you guys are running phpNuke on a cgi server?

Nope. I tired but no cigar. Anyway the htaccess solution works just as well. RavensScripts

Did anyone ever find an answer to this other than the tweak? I tried to access site with God admin, and now can't get anywhere.
All this to get something shiny...

I had this exact problem, but when I used the username and password that I use to access my web host control panel for managing my site it worked fine. You might give that a try

I've managed to do everything but get it working. I've dropped the tables and reinstalled. Checked the server to make sure it is Apache. I can set everything as I want it but the Sentinel administration. Once I do that, no matter what choices I make, it locks me out.

Deseroka, When configuring Sentinel make sure you are logged in as GOD ADMIN and not just a Super Admin. As a Super or secondary admin you have no rights to configure Sentinel. This is for GOD ADMIN ONLY !

This is one of those features that has never worked for me, it worked fine on admin secure when i used to use it, but it has never worked on sentinel. I once had chatserv on my site even and he couldnt figure it out either. Few other features that dont seem to do much for me is protected admins (we can get banned just as easy as the next guy) and setting anything but permanent on the blocker features. For example i have 3 days set for the ban on harvesters but they stary there forever.

Ahh well its a work in progress it keeps the bad guys out thats whats important and im sure Raven will get these other things sorted eventually.

Cheers,
FuZZy
