Hello all, I was wondering if it would be ok to just have the copyright NukeScripts(tm) Resecured PHP-Nuke 7.6. [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] just appear on the home page?
The reason I ask this is because recently Google tends to penalise sites with links being duplicated hundreds if not thousands of times in the footer etc.
I have had many companies even established search engines contact me to explain to remove the link I have for them in my footer as its now against Google fair policy etc, not only damaging for my
site but actually more damaging for the site its linking to.
Cheers all

The text could be anywhere and I don't have a copy of that particular software to check but I would start with footer.php
It might be plain text in footer.php or a language constant in footer.php which might come from the language files in webroot/language/
Also check the site settings because it might actually be stored in the database. |

You will have to look through your files. The footer.php should have a variable that is being used to display the link. Look in your themes footer as well as the main footer.php. Also look in language files. |

You may also want to check the footer settings in your Admin, Preferences. |

Hello, I just checked the main footer and it was copyright variable there which I removed and now the copyright has gone!
