Android Phone App for Websites

I am starting into programming at my college. We are in Visual Basics 2010 and are going to get into making android apps. I am wondering if it would be possible to make an app that would allow people to check private messages, read post in the forums, and view news just to name a few features. I am not for sure about how complex it would be or if Ravenuke is set up to be able to do that. The reason I am asking is I run a clan website and I think it would be cool for them to be able to do that from their phone without having to go to the website. Any ideas or thoughts?

It will be awhile until it is available, but it should be optimized fairly well for most smartphones. I can't guarantee the entire admin area will work, but I believe I can get all publicly viewable pages working correctly. The biggest challenge is the built-in AJAX navigation, which will be a huge benefit for devices with cache and/or bandwidth restrictions.

The mobile theme will also be Themeroller compatible, so you can adjust the interface colors fairly easily. Here's an example of the tool: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I am using this website: http://appinventor.mit.edu/teach/ and trying to figure it out.
The way I was figuring was trying to link buttons like on a webpage, but that is about it. I don't know programming really at all. I have just had a basic welcome to basic programming and used a program called Raptor. We used some basic loops, nesting, calculations, and that was about it. Right now I am in VB and it is the first week. I hate having to be patient...lol....waiting on the knowledge...haha. Oh well, I guess I will figure it out later on.

What would really be nice is if I could put their stats from elite.callofduty.com (or give them access to it). But, I am really just wanting more interraction with the Website. I think a phone app would help out.
