Customize each block

Just like the title says. Is there a hack out there that lets you customize each block to look different.
i.e. different background image/color/font size etc?

I found a hack that lets me substitute the block title with an image, but I'd like to do more to make the blocks look less uniform and more individualized.

You can use css with each block to add images, change the colors etc...
Just add the css to the block-file directly and add the css code in your themes css file. Or you can try Auto Theme but I prefer the first method.
