From that error message it appears some files were not uploaded.
Upload the 'includes' directory again and if your target server is *nix ensure the files are transferred in BINARY mode.

rorie, be careful about posting your root path in a public forum...

Review the file names between what you have in the RN distribution and what is in the includes directory. I am wondering if your FTP client has the option set to retain the case or to always lower case the files. Just a guess as I haven't seen this type of problem much. Its definitely something related to your upload or environment somehow.

If you look in your error log (website / host), you will probably see some errors about files not found.

What ftp program are you using? Filezilla seems to work well for uploading files.

If you can PM your account information (I'll need control panel access so I can check error messages), I'll take a look.

Some operating systems have problems with relative paths, so it's necessary to override the upload path.

It's most likely just a setting. I can look now if you like - just got home from work.

already trashed the database & the installation & soon i will move webhosts. so never mind. besides the rn installation always took forever & to upload mambo looks like it will be easier to use & i found a nuketreasury phpnuke module that has been created for mambo. if mambo does not please me i will go back to rn but i found rn hard to use when creating module & rn has always seen problematic so i don't see myself comin' back here

Just out of curiosity, do you know which operating system your host uses?

Good luck with Mambo - personally, I'd use Joomla over Mambo, but both have pretty complex admin functions, and creating modules is way more difficult than with Nuke derivatives.

Anyway, if you change your mind, we'll be here.

I just checked nearlyfreespeech.net, and discovered it uses FreeBSD. One of our other regular visitors also hosted an account on a FreeBSD server - and had the same problem. All we had to do with override the upload directory in the includes/fckeditor/fckconfig.js file, and everything worked correctly.
