Do standard php-nuke themes work with raven nuke? Or do i need special raven themes. i am planning on converting my site to raven nuke, yet i have not found a theme site that says they make raven themes, that got me wondering if maybe raven uses the standard themes.
And what about AUTOTHEME? my current nuke site (8.0 patched) has a theme that was designed for install with autotheme. will that work with raven as well?

bigbadjames, most themes will work just fine with RavenNuke, especially if they are relatively new and therefore based upon the later Patch Series (e.g., where they check for the definition of the INDEX_FILE constant rather than using $index = 1).

We had installed AutoTheme once on RN awhile back and most of it worked, but there were so many compliance errors (you might not care about those) and so we dropped it.

eww, ok, not a web programmer, the INDEX_FILE reference has me lost, lol !!
However, i am guessing that since my theme requires autotheme for install, it probably wont work with ravennuke then. it is a battlefield 2142 theme from portal themes.

I didn't say it wouldn't work. I said that "most of it worked". What I would suggest is getting yourself XAMPP loaded on your PC, load up a RN site there, install AutoTheme and your theme and try it out.

Montego, can you tell me what XAMPP and AutoTheme are?
The Battlefield style looks really nice. I have installed some styles on my test site too and most of them worked. Just make sure everything is ok. Cause I have 1 style which kinda has a glitch. It doesn't show a pic the way it should show it.

Autotheme works just fine with RavenNuke, I actually recommend it all the time on my site. Wink

And as far as valid markup is concerned, it is very easy to do any level of compliance with AutoTheme.

This is a RavenNuke site running Autotheme that is valid markup as well.
