I wrote a long news item that I wanted to span multiple pages, but when I used the 'insert page break' on the extended text of a news item there was no page break when the news item was published. The whole news item was displayed on a single page. I know content pages support multiple pages, but do news items truly support multiple pages?

If multiple pages are supported in news items, is there something I need to configure or check to make sure it functions properly?

I'm running the 2.20 version of Raven.

Thanks!

Page breaks are not supported in the News module.

This could be a nice enhancement, so I've added it to our tracker for RavenNuke(tm) for future consideration.

The button to insert a page break is already there. It just doesn't recognize it on the display of the news item.

Unfortunately, that is a bit of a misnomer and it should probably be removed from the toolbar as *nuke does not recognize that tag. Even in Content, it uses its own method of page breaking.

However, I do like the idea of maybe modifying RN to respond to both methods... hhhhmmmm....
