I've successfully added a template to my new install of RN 2.10 (although the site is a work in progress you can see the colors of the new template http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/).

Now I'd like to have RN's phpBB "style" be the same colors as my new template. What's the best way to go about this? I'm hoping that there is a form (blank style sheet) that I can enter the color values.

Thanks,

Kerry

Thanks,

I just tried to log in as admin on the forums but it kept rejecting my un and pw so I reverted back to the default theme and when I click the Login hyperlink at the top of [ur]http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/modules.php?name=Forums[/url] the page changes to http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/modules.php?name=Your_Account&redirect=index This is strange because yesterday I was able to create a test category and forum.

By "template" do you mean a theme? If so, and if you want your forums to have the same "style" as the theme, you will need a matching forum template. Personally I wouldn't screw around with all that, it's too much work for what you get, but if you want to, you can look at the fisubice (the default theme for RN 2.10) and see how they did the forum template. The Deepblue theme has a matching forum template too.

Hi fkelly,

What I bought was a "template" for PHP-Nuke 8.0 for $35. At least "template" is its unzipped directory's name. Inside the directory the actual template's name is 9999. You can see it at http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/.

I recall when I made the "style" for my standalone phBB I used a form that I could simply copy-paste in the colors I wanted. I recall using an eye-dropper so as to match the colors of my FrontPage 2003 web's theme. It's been a while but I also may have copied the default Silverxx style and deleted its colors and inserted mine and renamed it "mystyle."

I was hoping someone had already done it with RavenNuke's phpBB forum.

I think it's safe to say you have a nuke theme looking at the source code but as you do not have a public link to your form I am unable to check that part.

There are two ways you can do this, either create your own forum skin, these files would reside in themes/9998/forum
you can use the fisubice theme as an example or..
You can alter the core phpBB template which you can find in modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/

Unfortunately, to give you a ready built forum template would be too much for general support but of course we are willing to guide you along the way.

Here's link to my RN and RNphpBB Forum http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/ and http://www.managercoaching.com/grief/modules.php?name=Your_Account&redirect=index To be clear. What I want is a RNphpBB forum with these colors (maroon header etc.). Can I make a copy of subSilver and rename it mystyle and then enter the colors I want? I believe I'm just rewording what you wrote but I'm a bit dense when it comes to this stuff.

Thanks for the offer to guide,

Kerry

Yes you can replicate the subSilver template and name it anything you want. Don't forget to search all files within your renamed template to do a find/replace from 'subSilver' to 'mystyle'. If I remember correctly there are also a couple of filenames that have 'subSilver' in them, so they will have to be renamed as well (probably the style sheet).
If you don't have any software for doing recursive folder add file find/replacing I recommend Beyond Compare 2 from Scooter Software.
