Control block locations?

I seen this has been brought up before but nothing definite.

I would like the ability to control which blocks are visible based on the module being display. There was an older script that stated it could do it, but to no avail.

If there is a manual system that would be fine but I would like to control what blocks are visible depending on the current module being displayed.

There is at least one tweak that allows you to display blocks by module. I can't remember who developed it or where to download - did you find this in your search?

I think so, It was a addon and was pretty old. It required all kind of changes to mainfile.php and never worked.

Well, there was only the one that I can recall seeing, and I am pretty sure that it is the same one we are all referring to.

BTW, since individual blocks are controlled by mainfile.php, you can't do this without changing it... You can remove ALL left or ALL right blocks by module without touching mainfile.php, but that is not what you are after.
