Hey Neo.
I have been too busy to do any work on RavenNuke for quite some time. I'm so busy at the moment helping train disadvantages kids into new careers and rescuing trafficked kids that I'm only even home 1 day a week (if I'm lucky) these days Sad

Let's spread the joy, Guardian! Please email details on current status so we can get a few others involved.

I think if people can not handle a job to do should give away to others who can. What I don't understand how a free script is being holding as a secret instead of letting others to modify or even finish it. If this continue like this it will never be able to be finished. Anyway, good luck! At the end we will always find mistakes if we don't test the script. Whatever comes will be welcome but do not expect to be perfect. As long as you keep it less people will be care about it. This is just my opinion.

There is no secret - the development has been ongoing for a long time, and there have been public updates on the progress. But, it is taking too long for the small group of 2 who are focusing on the core theme replacement, which is central to this version. Hopefully, we can add some experienced developers to complete this release more quickly. And soon... Smile

Here *waving flag* Smile

Guardian has involved me some weeks ago, to test the functionality. Currently I'm playing around to build own modules, blocks and themes to understand how it works. I'm trying also to add some features to the News module which I missed. But it would be helpful to have a internal forum to ask some questions about the logic behind the new functions to avoid reinventing the wheel and to prevent to write to much new code. I guess the both Main-Devolopers can answer it shortly on this way after showing some snippets in a thread. Currently I must compare each file to figure it out what Spasticdonkey has done. It looks very interesting and I want really help to get it out of the door.

Thanks, neralex. Several things are already in progress as you suggested, and we are working on more.

As long as it is secure !

Hi guys,

just a quick question... why don't you move RavenNuke code to github, so other developers could contribute and help you with further development?

Cheers!

No updates from the team that was working on it, and I've been unable to contact one of the key members who was working on responsive themes. Some code has been committed, and I'm considering moving it to GitHub (assuming that's practical) if there is sufficient interest in pursuing that. Several have requested it, but who's willing to commit to continue development?

Thanks for the answer,it's kind of ridiculous of the team to hold on to this it's been several years now and the only they say is that they don't have time to work on it since 2013 or what it is now,so why hold on to it ? it make me confused over how they think and why they don't give a s**t to hand it over to some other people that realy care about to getting the CMS out

kguske, I wouldn't use Github in public before the first RC is ready to use. Only at this point it could really help. We should try at frist to get the untouched modules ready to use and then we can think about it.

Thanks, neralex. Sounds good. I'll follow up offline with additional details as soon as possible.

KennyW, the "team" consists of volunteers, including 2 key team member who have been unavailable. One has not been online for some time and I fear something significant has happened to him. Others, like me, have had deaths and serious family illness occupying our time. I'm sorry you feel these things to be ridiculous, but it's certainly not because we don't care. After contributing so much over the years - as a volunteer - I hope you can understand how I think.

Of course I understand I do not want to be grumpy or be an ass at all and I do like what you are doing on your spare time don't get me wrong, but what I can read in this thread the keymembers are gone and this has been going on since 2013 so why don't the keymembers just let more people help them out

KennyW, I can understand you. I'm waiting since a year for detailed responses and the only two guys who are giving a response is guardian and kguske. As kguske has pointed, without a response of the keymembers is it hard to share it with other developers.

I'm working at the moment on some improvements of the News module and I'm working on a global image-upload for unique images which can be used for each relevant content area like modules with magic-tags for the ckeditor, a callback in themes and for the open graph dialog to share it on facebook, twitter and google+.

My own radio-website has similar features since many years but this website is not a RavenCMS, its a modded RN25x in HTML5 based on the Bootstrap framework.

I will port/expand my custom coded stuff into RavenCMS. There are many things which are not finished but the core of RavenCMS is working really great. Love it.

Here is an example of the News index with a equal-height jQuery script for each News box and the functionality of a unique image for each article. The equal-height script is atm a optional feature, which can be activated in the settings. It calculates each area with dynamic content. The upload function creates two files, a cropped file with a aspect ratio based on the original file and a second file, which will be cropped with an aspect ratio: 1:1.91. The second file is used in the screenshot for the News index and this file will be also used for the Open Graph dialog on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. The image with the RavenCMS logo is an generic image, which will be used if no file was uploaded.

Cheers

Can the site info column be on the left side where it resides in most of the themes?
