phpnuke with standalone phpbb forum

hello guys,

just a quick question on something i have been thinking about for a while.

is there anyway i can install nuke -
and have a stand alone phpbb intall -
but with the phpbb users linked to the phpnuke site

so someone will sign up with nuke and be automaticly entered into phpbb's

the reason i ask is that i am interested in a lot of "hacks" for phpbb but am not a good code reader and cant atempt to edit them to suit phpnuke sites

i cant see a way to do this...except incorporate them into the same database and edit all the files to point to nuke_users instead of the standard phpbb users table.

My question would be why would you want to? Even if you could get it to work which isn't very likely as there are too many differences between phpnuke and phpbb. Theres already a phpbb port in nuke with all the work done for you.

Theres allot more to in then just changing the database in a few files.

the reason i want to is that there are certain modification/ "hacks" i want to implement - into the forums
that i dont know will work with the modified nuke forums

and i dont think i will be able to make them work with nuke forums

its not a very important thing - but i wanted to know if it was possible before i got started

yes its possible...and as for the nuke files to edit...pretty much anything that is extension php has a function to call on users...and u must edit them all...sorry for the delay but this is a project..if ur upto it...i dont think this would be very difficult...just time consuming...and also u must make sure any edits to the users table is done in the proper syntax...with it being sql codes...ull need to examine the differences in the table structure and make sure that all injections(as i call em) are properly structured to match the nuke users table....not the phpbb users table...i believe there are fundimental differences in them...so check it out.
