how to add google search to search block

I am trying to add google search to the regular search block but it doens't show up in the block it shows up on top of the block. How can I do this?

I know there are stand alone blocks, I want to make a combination block. Maybe you can just tell me why the html doesn't work when I add it to the php file? I close th ephp and open it back up around the html.
