Raven,

I would like to set my own localhost (PC) max SQL file size parameter to match yours (cpanel) of "Max: 51,200KB". Mine is currently the default of 2,048KB and I cannot find anywhere in PHP or phpMyAdmin files where to set this as you have.

Would you please point me to where I need to set that? I posted here thinking that the answer might be useful to others and since you had already modified it from standard for my account, I am hoping its an easy answer.

TIA,
montego

Sorry for getting back to this so late. I read it and then forgot about it Rolling Eyes

In your php.ini file, you have 2 settings that work in tandem.

max_post_size
and
upload_max_filesize

HTTP uploading is done via the POST method, so these limits have to cooperate with each other. Setting them both to 50M will yield 51,200KB Smile

Raven,

No problem on the timing. Been busy swapping out all my home networking components! Remember the tracert delays??? I ended up losing internet connectivity altogether... what a bummer.

I had changed the upload_max_filesize but not the other. In my installation of 4.4.1, I found the name to be post_max_size. Took me awhile to find it. Was thinking that maybe it really was in the httpd.conf.

However, when I go to phpmyadmin, I am still seeing 2,048KB for the max import size yet you have it as 51,200KB in our cpanel/phpmyadmin... Hhhmmmm... There must be another setting too? (Yes, I did restart Apache.)

Regards,

No. Those are the only 2 settings that need to be changed. Make sure that you have 50M . Also, make sure that you changed the right php.ini. Sometimes more than one get's installed in different places.

I searched all my drives and found the one and only php.ini. I had it in the php directory because I had placed this directory in my windows PATH like the instructions said! UUgghhh... last time I follow instructions. Laughing

I placed php.ini in my WINDOWS directory and

Wave

Works like a champ! Now if I can just figure out why when I take a complete backup of files and database and deploy each on my test server, my left and right-hand blocks show NO data. Very strange. I was thinking that it might be a phpmyadmin import issue... maybe I am not seeing some critical errors? Anyways, a different problem for a different post if I can't figure it out...

Thanks again Raven!
