is it not possible to leave the sql db alone. Trash all the files and upload your distro and then point it at the db? Would there be errors? Thanks.

I suppose that was dependant on which version your current DB was for as the shema may be different.
Additionally, if you are not using the latest Sentinel there may well be differences in the DB shema there too, assuming you have 'a' version installed already.
