I recently upgraded from 7.4 to 7.5.

In my case this was the hardest upgrade to date..

Currently I cannot add comments to the bottom of news articles. They are totally missing from view.. No Idea what happend.

However you can still add comments to the bottom of polls.

If you do view an article on my site you'll see at the bottom that the associated topics table stretches all the way to the right hand side of the screen. Somewhere there is a CloseTable() missing in the code. I'll find that.....

The database is still there, old comments are still in it.

I've reuploaded the News module several times.

Comments are still turned on as they were with version 7.4 when they were last working.

Any suggestions as to why comments would dissapear during this upgrade? How to track it down and or how to fix it?

Thanks,
Darrell

Yes'sir,

Just yesterday in fact. Sorry I did'nt post back.

Line 104 in comments.php had an error in it from the 3.0 patches.

Code:
global $user, $bgcolor1, $bgcolor2, $textcolor1, $textcolor2, $anonpost, $prefix, $db, $module_name, admin;

admin did not have a dollar sign in front of it. Fixed that and the comments started working again.

Down to one more thing I don't understand now. Very Happy

Thanks,
Darrell
