HELP! Deleted/banned user still showing up?

I banned a user's IP and also deleted them in the phpmyadmin nuke_users table. Now, i go to my site homepage and notice that on the "who's online" block, they are showing up as being online. why is this? is it just a glitch or have i forgotten a step on trying to get this person off my site? Thanks.

There's all sorts of ways of dealing with pests. The first thing I do is flag their account as 'inactive' in the phpBB admin panel. This usually takes of 'the problem.'

Or, if you're running YAT, simply 'suspend' them (permanently)...
