I just installed phpnuke for a friends web site. I am extremely familiar with postnuke as I have it on my site but he wanted to use phpnuke so he could use the solar theme.

From a clean install there are 2 things happening that dont make any sense. First of all if you go to register a new account everything works as it should but it nevers sends the email to the person registering so they can complete the registration.

Second is when a user tries to login he gets the following message: Sorry, this Module isn't active! The admin section will allow the super user to login just fine, its only on the user level

The link for his site is [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] if you want to see for yourself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As to the login block, do you have the permissions (who can see this) set to Anonymous users and not Registered Users? And the status is Active?

It is set to Anonymous Users now and was always set to active. I'm not sure but think that maybe when I installed there may have been an error in the database. I have even went so far as to reinstall all the modules over the top of the fresh installs to try to get it to work.

I would suggest, if you have nothing to lose, to just start all over.

lol, as you were typing I was ripping. I just installed dropped everthing on the server and installed phpnuke 7.6 rather then 7.5. It appears to be working correctly now but the crappy thing is that I forgot to backup the theme so now I have to start over. Bang Head
