Why install some samples and setup a survey to see which are selected?
These are nice:

I never thought about Joomla as an option but thank you friend. I opened the zip and it will be pretty easy to port to RN.

ChocoTemplates has some nice stuff, though most of it uses a jQuery slider, which is interesting as I am working on a nukeSLIDER module that could be use just for this purpose! I will allow the webmaster to define all kinds of content-driven slideshows and could be used as a center block on the index page or as the home page module. Pixel This, NuTheme, Particular and Core are good examples of this.

Is the Blogger template the one you are working on now?

Buzz looks really nice. JunkBox, beSMART, and SimplyMore might be easy enough to use with RN.

To get the right look for Megazzine, Proper, and Gamer with RN, we might need to develop some custom blocks that go with the theme.

Right now i had a request for a Gaming them so i am finishing that up and then back to the Blogger theme.

Was funny you mentioned slider as i saw the same thing and was going to add a slider but it would all be manual edits for images etc, no admin panel or anything. Would it be to much if i asked that when you are done with your slider could i use it for the themes that call for a slider ?

I knew you would like chocotemplates As soon as i saw the templates i said now kguske would love these so ii emailed and got permission to port them. So glad you do like them friend.

The plan is for the slider not to "require" theme changes. However, it should be possible to create custom CSS that works with themes like these from ChocoTemplates and other template / theme developers.

BTW, I really like JunkBox. Smile

Instead of porting older themes, I think you would be better off modifying your new theme to look like the older themes. A lot of the older themes use html files for styling instead of using divs with css classes. The css classes give you better control of the theme and allow for a consistent approach for the future. Just my opinion, but your new themes base is very nice and easy to modify.

I almost think we need to have a way of capturing some meta-data around themes, such as which *Nuke versions each will support.

Some sort of XML file included in the theme folder that provides this to an admin function?

I have mostly remained with my own themes thus far so i know the base is good and it will be fast loading and error free for the most part. I already ran into an issue with menu display in the alteredDark theme which i have resolved. I stopped using layers as the menu was getting pushed around by over sized logos.

I liked junkbox as well. Hmm will be next on the list. Then i want to to do that blogger theme you showed me kguske. The one with the very nice colors.

I like the XML idea, would almost be a must as most users do not consider a theme may lack features that have been added to updated versions. I hate trying to back track to figure out why certain features just are not available.

This mat sound tacky but my slider would just do a simple check and show only on the index. In the end i want it to be able to pull images from a pre-determined news section for latest news.

For now i usually bypass the slider and use the "about " page or services page as a general layout. Or just use a single image to fill the space where the slider should be.

Could these ideas really grow friends and come into play with RN at some point ? If so i would love to help in any way i can. I know i do no tknow enough to be on a development team but i would love to play a part some how no matter how small.
